Do you want to get involved in your neighborhood, but you're not sure how? The Neighborhood Association is looking for help with the following:
We need citizen reporters who want to write for the blog and newsletter. Do you have your ear to the ground on neighborhood happenings? Do you have a knack for writing? Share your knowledge and talents with the community!
The good news is that we've secured the domain mtscottarleta.com. The bad news is that we don't have anyone to helps us build a site there! Do you have web dev skills that you'd like to show off? We'd love to hear from you!
We recently received a grant to undertake a neighborhood survey. This is great news, because it means we can finally reach out into the community in a meaningful way to get people involved and to find out what is important to you. But there is quite a lot of work to do! We're still in the planning stages but we'd welcome your input in the planning stages, or with the work down the line. This will likely mean survey development, printing surveys and organizing tools, organizing work parties to complete the survey, going door to door, or otherwise canvassing the area, collecting information, and data entry and report writing of some sort. Details will follow in the coming weeks, but if you'd like to be involved, let us know!

Check out our previous post about the PDC and the vacant lots at 72nd and Foster. We're currently putting together a team that will shape the official neighborhood association's recommendations to the PDC. Be a part of this steering committee to let your voice be heard!
